Welcome to the SA Road Race Bulletin, your weekly round up for South Australian motorcycle road racing news.
LynchCraft Rider Development launched the first of what we’re sure will be many successful coaching clinics over the weekend at The Go-Kart Club of SA, Monarto. With the FIM MiniGP Australia series due here at the end of the month, it was no surprise to see plenty of Ohvales, supermotards and junior bikes out taking advantage of the rare opportunity for track time under the guidance of ASBK Supersport pro Ty Lynch.
Check out all the action from the weekend at the LynchCraft Rider Development Facebook page and stay tuned for our full review of the event.
It was a busy week for Ty, having also presented a guest speech to over 400 attendees at the MTA Automotive Apprenticeships Open Day. Ty attended along with the Unitech Racing team, showcasing the varied and exciting opportunities automotive trades can present.
At just 8 years old, Ryder McKenna demonstrates some serious prowess on the Ohvale GP-0 machine, but is too young to compete in any South Australian series nor the FIM MiniGP Australia series which caters for ages 10 and up. This obstacle has only propelled Ryder’s racing career, with the McKenna family turning to international opportunities instead. Ryder competed in Round 3 of the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship over the weekend, racing in the 110cc class, and while he had a tough weekend experiencing some of the lows of racing, he also saw his best race results to date!
Ryder will be off to Sepang next month for Round 4, and with a mass of 24k Facebook fans already, we think this Ryder is one to watch. Follow Ryder's adventure via Facebook.
South Aussie competitors are encouraged to get their entries in STAT for Round 3 of the combined SA/VIC Championship, with grids filling up already for the highly anticipated Phillip Island race weekend.

Will Strugnell has taken out the TTC 1 Superbike championship for another year. Will was joined by 9 other brave entrants from SA who made the trek up to Darwin for the annual TERRA Cup Challenge, a week long event culminating in a brilliant weekend of racing that South Aussies have tasted victory in many times over. The huge SA party for 2023 included Jai Strugnell, Will Strugnell, Chris Tyler, Tony Ross, Ryder Gilbert, Chris Greene, Scott Christie, Lucas Warren, Andrew Bannerman, and Andrew Tension-Woods. A huge well done to Lucas and Jai, who competed at Hidden Valley for the first time, and a massive congrats to Will!
Tara Morrison arrived safely in The Netherlands and has begun testing for her IDM Assen wildcard spot with the RT Motorsports by SKM - Kawasaki team. Tara will compete in the Supersport 300 class on the 18th-20th this month.
Head on over to the team's update post on Facebook and leave a comment for Tara and show your support.
