Welcome to the SA Road Race Bulletin, your weekly round up for South Australian motorcycle road racing news.
Kicking things off for Week 30, the FIM MiniGP Australia Series took place at the Ipswich Kart Club, QLD with South Aussie’s #11 Judd Plaisted (aka Rocket Ronny) and #36 Rikki Henry seeing great successes over the weekend event. Judd took home first overall for the round, a huge milestone for the 11-year old in his recovery journey from a significant accident earlier in the year. Rikki Henry scored valuable points in his Race 2 second placing, allowing him to hold on to his championship lead.
You can catch them both in action when the FIM MiniGP hits Monarto on August 26-27.
Head to the Ohvale AU Facebook page for details.
ASBK Supersport legend Ty Lynch brings his new LynchCraft Rider Development program to Monarto this weekend with a 2-day coaching clinic at The Go-Kart Club of SA. The event will offer 1-on-1 and group tuition to both junior and senior riders, with bikes of 150cc to 450cc capacity permitted. All riders are welcome from beginner to pro level, and free camping is available at the track across the weekend.
Ty is no stranger to coaching, offering his valuable skills as a contracted coach in various courses over the last few years. We’re looking forward to seeing what his unique new program brings to the table.
Entries for the weekend close this Wednesday Aug 1st - to enquire call Ty on 0438 701 678 or email email@example.com
Cost: $200 per day, or $350 for both days.
Speaking of coaching, Levi Day will be back in Australia for a limited time, with a single coaching weekend at Mac Park on offer from August 11th-13th. Levi’s 'On Track Rider Training' coaching events are hugely popular over the Summer, with the morning track walk/demos, open track time and invaluable 1-on-1 teaching being major drawcards. Ty Lynch will be joining Levi as a coach over the 3-day event.
Very limited places remain, so if you’d like to get on board book your spot ASAP.

Entries have opened for RD 3 of the combined SA/VIC State Championship, to be held at Phillip Island in September, hosted by Preston MCC and CAFNIX. Entries are open through Ridernet and will close on September 1st.

A large contingent of SA racers have made the long, annual trek to Darwin this week to compete in the TERRA TTC (TERRA Territory Challenge), with a jam packed program spanning 8 full days on track that entices racers from all over the country.

Back at home, bLU cRU SA Junior Cup and Unitech Racing paired up on Saturday with a fantastic display at the opening of the new Supercheap Auto Richmond, with locals having the opportunity to meet riders #61 Arthur Sissis and #51 Samuel Pezzetta, talk about the sport and check out the bikes.
Meanwhile down South, the Mount Gambier Motor Cycle Club hosted another successful, albeit wet ride day. Mac Park ride days are held on the last Saturday of each month, offering great value for money at just $140 for the day.
The Mount Gambier Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Show also ran over the weekend for another successful year, raising much needed donations for the Cancer Council SA. With low entry numbers a concern in the lead up to the event, it was great to see it all come into fruition once again.
CAFNIX have advised the cancellation of this Tuesday’s club meeting, the next meeting will be held on Tuesday September 5th.
And finally, South West Track Days will be announcing new coaching dates this coming Thursday. More info will be available soon at the South West Track Days Facebook page.
