Addicted to Track has secured former Australian Supersport Champion John Lytras for the next two years, strengthening the team's Superbike program ahead of the new ASBK Summer Season.
The agreement brings one of the paddock's most familiar young faces under the ATT banner, with 21-year-old Lytras' history in the ASBK Championship stretching back almost a decade. Beginning in the junior ranks before progressing through GP Juniors, Supersport 300 and eventually into Supersport, he ultimately claimed the Australian Supersport title in 2022.
He has continued to campaign Yamaha machinery since making the move into the premier class in 2024, and finished the 2026 season in the top 10.
For Addicted to Track, the two-year agreement represents an opportunity to build a longer-term relationship with Lytras both on and off the racetrack.
Lytras has already become a bigger part of the Addicted to Track fold away from ASBK, recently taking up riding duties for the '2-Up Superbike Experience' and rider coaching through the team's ongoing collaboration with Queensland Raceway.
Quote from John Lytras:
“Got to swing a leg over for a few laps last weekend with the Addicted to Track team. Super grateful for this opportunity, and was a super productive first few days already feeling comfortable with the bike and the team. Super excited to go racing, got more testing in the coming weeks before Round One.”
Quote from Team Principal, Mark McGregor:
“I am very enthusiastic to have Johnny join the team, we have started fast out of the blocks at St George on the weekend and have a positive outlook on what we can achieve in the next few years."
Addicted to Track will field a two-rider Superbike line-up for the opening round of the season, with New Zealander Richard Markham-Barrett joining Lytras aboard his BMW.
The Australian Superbike Championship's inaugural Summer Season kicks off alongside MotoGP at Phillip Island on October 23-25.
